I was born Richard Thomas 60+ years ago in Southern California. Art has always been my passion, especially painting with acrylics, oils or water color. As well as drawing. Studied architectural drafting and design at San Bernardino Valley Junior College between 1968 and 1970. In the Fall of 1970, I chose a different vocation.

The first day of creation God turned the light on. Even in black and white or sepia photography, the element of illumination is foundational. God is light and in Him there is no darkness. Digital or film, color, black and white or sepia; without light there is no exposure.

All my images were captured with either

But it doesn't matter what camera you use as long as you take the time to learn how to use it. The more you use your camera, the more familiar you will become with its parameters.

The camera operation manual that comes with the camera will help you understand how it works. Applying what you learn will produce pleasing results. Remember, with digital photography you can practice a lot!
